ANDROID APPLICATION FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE (DOCTORS NEARBY)[ ]


The time lapse in medical help to accidental victims is a concern of increasing urgency in India and other countries. Doctors Nearby (an android app) fills the gap between the doctor and the person in need. It provides the information of all the doctors present in nearby locality. From the specialists to an OPD doctor, this app provides all the necessary information regarding the selected hospitals, such as location and working hours. Other than all this Doctors Nearby app has a special Emergency button for accidental cases. The Emergency button when pressed will direct the user to the nearest accidental hospital working on the current time and will call the contacts chosen as Emergency contacts and also will send an SMS to the contacts providing the current location and the location of the hospital the user is being directed to. This paper describes the application, its development, and its technical implementation.

Arduino Based Solar Street Lighting[ ]


This work is about automation of street lighting systems and efficient application of street lights. A critical issue nowadays is the energy crisis taking place in India. Energy loss takes place due to street lights which consume enormous electric energy. In the present study, smart street lighting systems are developed to ensure efficient street lighting and reduce consumption of electric energy. Auto intensity light control helps in dimming the street lights when no movement is detected using infrared sensors. Design of such systems which have efficient applications do not only achieve energy saving but also extends the service life of street lighting equipment. Energy savings in public systems are discussed from different viewpoints here.

The purpose of this project is to present the concept and the implementation of a fully automated and intelligent parking system, based on prediction through probability algorithms. Automatic Rationing System using RFID and GSM Technology[ ]


PDS is one of the widely controversial issues that involves corruption and illegal smuggling, mining of consumer goods. To elaborate, such malpractices often take place at the ration shop which involves manual work and there are no Hi-tech devices or gadgets to monitor such malpractices and curtail them. One of the main problems is that the license holder of that particular ration shop shows illegal or wrong entry to the Sales Tax Officer of the consumers goods which are being distributed among people.

in any organisation such as schools, colleges, companies, industry, etc certain number of employee’s are employed. Managing this type information by just simply noting them in a diary is a tedious task to do. So in order to manage employee’s details some automation is required. Employee Management which includes automated management of an employee’s attendance payroll activities based on attendance, gratuity, provident fund and generates Salary slip, thus reducing large amount of paper work. This software is built using php, AJAX, CSS and MySQL for database.

Exam monitoring system over a LAN Network[ ]


Considering the current scenario, every educational institute has computer labs where various exams are carried out throughout the year. Therefore, a major emphasis is placed by the educational institute on conducting all the exams smoothly and cheating-free. However, students find out new ways by which copying activities can be carried out. This eventually fails all the measures taken by the institute authorities to conduct a cheating-free examination scenario. The exam monitoring system aids the educational institutes by providing services that can be used to avoid cheating activites like accesing internet to search answers, accesing lan for files. This paper describes the application, its development, and its technical implementation. The paper also describes other anti-cheating feature such as USB device detection and remote desktop monitoring.

IOT Based Air Pollution Monitoring System[ ]


The level of pollution is increasing rapidly due to factors like industries, urbanization, increasing in population, vehicle use which can affect human health. IOT Based Air Pollution Monitoring System is used to monitor the Air Quality over a web server using Internet. It will trigger an alarm when the air quality goes down beyond a certain level, means when there are sufficient amount of harmful gases present in the air like CO2, smoke, alcohol, benzene, NH3 and NOx. It will show the air quality in PPM on the LCD and as well as on webpage so that air pollution can be monitored very easily.

IoT based Automated Hydroponics System[ ]


Over the years, traditional farming for harvesting with the use of soil takes longer time to decompose making it prone to diseases and expensive. Hydroponics system means growing plants without soil with better results, especially in areas with space and environment unsuitable. Commercial Hydroponics is the upcoming technology that grows plants through an inert media instead of natural soil. This system has no adverse effects on environment or quality on crops. In contrast, it provides better nutrient value and allows controlling the nutrients via nutrient solution. Its main aim is to save water, improve quality of crops avoiding the adverse effects of pesticides and factors affecting quality of soil and save land. This paper provides an overview about the cost-effective implementation of Hydroponics for small farmers in India.

Literature Survey on Recognition and Evaluation of Optical Character Recognition (OCR)[ ]


Nowadays, a lot of paper documents are transformed into electronic form, which easies information processing, like searching, analysis and conversion. In this paper the analysis of OCR usability for automatic data entering is presented. In our study we took into account the entire sequence of digitizing the print-outs: scanning, data indexation, approval, and file preparation. The tests were made on Smartphones, for which commercially available OCR engines were employed.

Pocket Certificate for Government Portal using combined Cryptography[ ]


The Pocket Certificates System is software, which tries to alter the originality of the Government Related Documents such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc. into encrypted form. We are making use of Combined Cryptography Techniques (Ex. AES, DES, RSA) in order to provide a Security to our software. The major task of Pocket Certificates is to provide the user the flexibility of passing the information implementing the encryption standards as per the specification and Algorithms proposed and store the information in an encrypted form that is unreadable and also availability of documents on their private accounts. Whenever user want to download file the system will decrypt the document which is store on server. The Entire application will have a user friendly Graphical User Interface, which will be in a self-learning mode for the end user. The System will provide all the functional standards of proper navigation.

In this paper, a solar tracking system using Arduino is designed and built. This system collects free energy from the sun and stores it in the battery and then converts this energy to the respective alternating current. Its makes the energy usable in normal homes as an independent power source. This system is designed to react to its environment in the shortest amount of time. Any errors at software and hardware will be controlled or eliminated. Our system is tested for its real-time responsiveness, reliability, stability and safety. Thyroid Detection using Electrical Impedance Tomography[ ]


Electrical Impedance Tomography refers to medical imaging technique in which an image of the impedance of a part of the body is created from surface electrical measurements. In this method, conducting electrodes are attached to the concerned body part of the subject and small alternating currents or voltages are applied to some or all of the electrodes. The resulting electrical potentials are then measured. The process may be repeated for various different configurations of applied current or voltage. This technique is rapid, safe, portable and inexpensive, and so is ideal for non-invasive medical imaging. The present work aims at developing a thyroid detector using Electrical Impedance Tomography. The paper focuses on explaining the making of the thyroid detector using the EIT technique.

Video surveillance system (IVS) based on image processing is used to effectively avert crimes and provide public security. The system takes snapshots of individuals and then checks if they match with the faces available in the database. Faces are detected and recognized by comparing the face with the face database using Haar- cascade classifier.

Developing a smartwatch that enables a user to send an email to any intended recipient using speech recognition. The user shall press the dial of the watch once so as to start the email application. The watch generates a haptic feedback indicating the user that the app has opened. The user then dictates the name of the intended recipient and enters the content in the body. The mail is sent once the user commands ‘send’.
