A Study of Content Based Methods for Author Profiling in Multiple Genres[ ]

Author Profiling is a task of automated prediction of one or more author traits from his/her text. Author profiling is grouping of written document based on their similarity, content, topic and semantic tags of their author. Further than the identification and verification of a specific person whose writing style is examined, when we talk about author profiling that means how a specific person interacts in a social circle and how they share their language so that group them according to their writing style[1]. Automatically detecting an author's profile from text has potential applications in marketing, forensic analysis and detecting harrassment cases. To develop and analyze automatic techniques for author profiling, we need a benchmark corpora. In recent years, standard evaluation resources have been developed for different genres including tweets, blogs, hotel reviews, social media etc.

With increased amount of data, nowadays storage has become a challenge. New technologies of storage like cloud computing whereby data is stored in a cloud is now in place. But still not accurate and does not fully solve the issue of storage. There other challenges like duplication, security of the data and the rest.in our paper therefore; we have proposed a noble deduplication system, which will help in dealing with storage space and enhancing the security of the data especially in the cloud storage.

Recycling of waste concreteis one of the sustainable solutions for the growing waste disposal crisis and depletion of natural aggregate sources. As a result, recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) is produced, and so far it has mostly been used inlow-value applications such as for the pavement base. But, from the stand point of promoting are source and energy savings and environmentalpreservation, it is essential to study, whether concrete made of recycled aggregates. Recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) can be used as a structural material.

Bacterial Sensitivity of Serratia Marcescens against Antibiotics[ ]

Serratia Marcescens, a well-known human pathogen, was tested with a large number of antibiotics belonging to the following groups: Glycopeptides, Tetracyclines, and Amphenicols. It was found that Serratia marcescens was susceptible to following antibiotics: Chloramphenicol, and Tetracycline, and resistive to following antibiotic: Vancomycin. Values of minimum inhibitory concentrations were then obtained for Chloramphenicol and Tetracycline and were 120 µg and 90 µg respectively.

Adaptive direct channel estimation in OFDM system using Superimposed Training Sequence (STS) technique[ ]

In this work, we investigate direct channel estimation method in time domain for time varying Rayleigh fading channel using Superimposed Training Sequence (STS pilot) and Recursive Least Square (RLS) adaptive algorithm. Superimposed Training Sequence provide simple channel estimation without loss in bandwidth efficiency and gives better performance. Time varying OFDM adaptive direct channel estimation in time domain and system performance comparison has been made, with adaptive equalization estimation (inverse channel estimation in time domain) in terms of bit error rate against signal to noise ratio plots. MATLAB OFDM system based simulation program is implemented for this purpose and for different modulation schemes such as BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM.

Influence of Manganese ion Doping on KF-CaO-B2O3 Glass Structure[ ]

Glasses with composition 30KF-10CaO-(60-x) B2O3: xMnO (where x = 0 to 0.4 wt. %) were prepared by using melt quenching technique. The glassy states of the prepared materials were evidenced from x-ray diffraction studies. Various studies were carried out for the prepared glasses. viz. DTA, IR, and optical absorption. From DTA studies, the calculated stability parameters show an increasing trend of improved stability in the glass network with MnO concentration from 0.1 to 0.4 wt. %. From IR spectral studies, with increasing MnO concentration from 0.1 to 0.4 wt. %, intensity of band due to BO4 unit increases on the contrary of band due to BO3, indicates an increase in stability of glass network. Optical absorption spectral analysis shows that, an increase in the optical bandgap with increase in MnO concentration from 0.1 to 0.4 wt. %; the observed trend suggests an increase in the glass stability in the dominant Mn3+ ion state.

FLOW ASSURANCE IN KUMUJE WET-GAS PIPELINE: ANALYSIS OF PIGGING SOLUTION TO LIQUID ACCUMULATION[ ]

Liquid condensation in gas-condensate pipelines in a pronounced phenomenon in long transporting lines because of the composition of the gas which is highly sensitive to variations in temperature and pressure along the length of the pipeline. Hence, there is a resultant liquid accumulation in onshore wet-gas pipelines because of the pipeline profile. This accumulation which is a flow assurance problem can result to pressure loss, slugging and accelerated pipeline corrosion if not properly handled.

Buckling Analysis of Thick Rectangular Flat SSSS Plates using Polynomial Displacement Functions[ ]

The main focus of this work is on Buckling Analysis of Isotropic Thick Rectangular Plates using Polynomial Displacement Functions. The thick rectangular plate is subjected to uniaxial in-plane compressive loading, Nx. Orthogonal Polynomial Displacement Functions (OPDF) and a polynomial shear deformation function f(z) were used in deriving the direct governing equations for an isotropic thick rectangular plate. A thick rectangular plate with all the edges simply supported (SSSS) was considered for the detailed numerical study. Satisfying the boundary conditions for the SSSS plate, the direct governing equation was solved to obtain a simple analytical equation used in generating the non-dimensional critical buckling load parameters of the plates at different values of span-depth ratio (a/t) and aspect ratios (b/a). Results from the present study were compared with the works of other researchers to verify the validity of the present results.

The Effect of Disturbance of Menstrual Cycle on The Sleeping Cycle[ ]

Background: The menstrual cycle is a cyclic change that occurs every month and causing changes in the hormones that can affect other body's systems and organs. Normally, the changes in sex hormones especially the progesterone cause an elevation in the body temperature which in turn cause a decrease in REM sleep. Also in addition to that, it acts on the progesterone-receptors agonist and this well reduces REM sleep and increase REM onset latency (ROL).

Spheroidization of Cementites Platelets in SK85 Heat-Treated High Carbon Steel[ ]

The change of fractal dimension is the representation of material internal properties which are closely related to deformation conditions. Consequently, many natural structures cannot be described by conventional methods, because they are complex and irregular. A new approach is the application of fractal geometry. In this work, the relationship between fractal dimension and sphericity on the spheoridization of cementites platelets in 30% and 40% cold-rolled SK85 high carbon steel, heat-treated for 1hr and 16hrs at 720 ºC respectively was studied. The best spheroidized platelets was found in 40% cold-rolled specimen, having weighted average sphericity and fractal dimension β = 0.8951 ± 0.0012 and D =1.1891 ± 0.0107, close to that of a perfect shape. Thus, a few hours of exposure time during heat-treatment condition may favor the growth and dispersion of spheroidization platelets rather than long period of heat-treatment.
