Network Physical Topology Discovery Algorithm for Ethernet Network[Full-Text ] Sudip Sikdar, Amit Kr. JainTo manage computer network with ease and hassle-free way, it is necessary for Network Management System (NMS) to have up-to-date information of physical network topology. It is not only very cumbersome to keep track of physical topology of computer network manually through NMS; it also becomes near impossible to maintain up-to-date information of the same when the computer network grows gradually. To address this problem, this paper proposes an algorithm for NMS to discover physical network topology automatically in Ethernet network comprising IP devices.

Synthesis, Structural, Electrical and Dielectical Properties of ZnO Nanoparticles Synthesized by Sonochemical Route[Full-Text ] Jazi Abdullah Mohammed AbdulwahedIn the present work, simple sonochemical route was used for synthesizing ZnO nanoparticles, by using the ultrasonication time 7 min at room temperature, atmospheric pressure and neutral pH. The structure and morphology of ZnO nanoparticles were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Some structural characteristics of the ZnO nanoparticles as average crystallite size using Scherrer and Williamson Hall methods, lattice strain, and dislocation density were estimated. XRD analysis confirmed a good crystalline structure (hexagonal) of the obtained ZnO nanoparticles.

Accessing Electronic Mails Without Internet Using Kannel and PHP[Full-Text ] Arnold Mashud Abukari, Akhmad Daniel Sembiring, Emmanuel Egyei MensahOne of the most widespread computer applications used for person-to-person or organization-to-organization communication is the elec-tronic mail (email or e-mail). The main objective for this study is to develop an emailing solution that is accessible without internet. Kannel works as an SMS gateway for GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) networks. Almost all GSM phones can send and receive SMS messages, so this is a way to serve many more clients than just those using a new WAP phone. The Agile Method is a particular approach to project management that is utilized in software development. This method assists teams in responding to the unpredictability of con-structing software.

Improved Oil and Gas Production Decline Curve Fit Using Rate – Time Linearized Form of Hyperbolic Decline[Full-Text ] Kenechukwu O. Nwankwo, Princess C. Nwankwo Production forecasting using Decline curve is common but limited in accuracy. The Exponential, Harmonic and Hyperbol-ic declines originated by J.J. Arps are three main decline profile types widely used in the industry. Exponential and Har-monic curves are more common than the hyperbolic ones largely because of the ease of fitting oil and gas production profiles with the earlier curves. However, Hyperbolic is the principal Decline curve equation while Exponential and Har-monic, which rarely occur, are special cases of the general Arps’ Decline curve. The difficulty in Hyperbolic fit is in the prediction of the Decline exponent.
