Formulation and evaluation of antioxidant tablet using gallic acid as active phytoconstituent[Full-Text ] Jain A., Fulmali S, Govalkar P., Amkar A. From ancient time, man has been depending on plants as medicine. Oxidation processes is among the most common problem associated with various disease, affecting a large proportion of the world’s population. These diseases can be treated by using various herbal drugs. The purpose of the present work was to formulate antioxidant gallic acid tablets so that a particular dose of antioxidant to be reached in the target sight. In this work, gallic acid was used, which was obtained from the market.

Compression Behavior analysis of a 3D printed Honeycomb infill pattern[Full-Text ] Abhiram AnupindiThe ever-growing Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) manufacturing is current and the latest trend for its ability to 3D print models without compromising on the dimensional accuracy of the model. This technique has flexibility in altering the print parameters like print orientation, raster angle, print axis, infill density and material layer thickness. Several researches are in progress to develop and improve this technology as it has got great advantage of reducing the material consumption thereby, minimizing high print costs and simultaneously, maintaining the mechanical stability of the model.

CFD analysis for chill down along a packed spherical bed regenerator[Full-Text ] Abhiroop V M, Vivek R I, Reby Roy K EEfficiencies of cryogenic systems are very low when compared with systems operating at higher temperatures. Efforts are required to improve the operating efficiency of cryogenic systems and thereby reduce the input power requirements. A large amount of power is lost along cryogenic systems due to chilldown process. The present work aims to improve the chill down characteristics along a spherical bed regenerator. The effect of porosity in a spherical bed generator is studied. Numerical simulations were conducted on a stainless steel spherical bed regenerator having porosities 0.4 and 0.5. The flow rate and other boundary conditions were kept constant for both the geometries. The CFD model was validated with the experiment data. Appreciable improvement in chill down was found with decrease in porosity.

Influence of selected yeast during alcoholic fermentation on red wine production[Full-Text ] Vlora RamaThe process of fermentation in wine making turns grape juice into an alcoholic beverage. During fermenta-tion, yeasts transform sugars present in the juice into ethanol and carbon dioxide (as a by-product). In wine making, the temperature and speed of fermentation are important considerations as well as the levels of oxygen present in the must at the start of the fermentation. The most common yeast associated with wine making is Saccharomyces cerevisiae which has been favored due to its predictable and vigorous fermentation capabilities, tolerance of relatively high levels of alcohol and sulfur di-oxide as well as its ability to thrive in normal wine pH between 2.8 and 4.

Investigation on the Effectiveness of Sesame Oil as An Austempering Medium for Grey Cast Iron; A Review[Full-Text ] Y. Hamman, M. H Muhammad, A. M AbioyeMany researches have been carried out using different quenching media on different metals/Alloy but the use of sesame oil as quenching medium for austempering of grey cast iron have not been explored and this justified the need for the search of a more suitable oil, available and cheaper medium for austempering of grey cash iron.

Paleodepositional Environment and Reservoir Biosequence Stratigraphy of Late Paleogene-Neogene Sediments from the KB-1 well, Coastal Swamp Depobelt, Niger Delta Basin, Nigeria[Full-Text ] Osokpor, J. and Ogbe, O.B.Lithofacies and palynological analyses of well cutting samples retrieved from KB-1 well located in the Coastal Swamp depositional belt of the Niger Delta Basin have been carried out in order to define paleodepositional environment and erect a biosequence stratigraphic frame so as to type and characterize different sand reservoirs formed within the sedimentary pile. Lithofacies analysis revealed sand, clay shale and coal as the lithotypes and twelve facies types ranging from silty shale to pebbly sands.

Acetylene as Alternative Fuel in I.C Engine[Full-Text ] Krishnasingh P. Bisen, Mayur R. Mehare, Prateek D. MudliarStudies reveal that Acetylene gas produced from calcium carbide (CaC2) is renewable in nature and exhibits similar properties to those of hydrogen. An experimental investigation has been carried out on a single cylinder, Spark ignition (SI) engine tested with pure petrol and petrol- Acetylene dual fuel mode with diethyl ether as oxygenated additive. Experiments were conducted to study the performance characteristics of petrol engine in dual fuel mode by aspirating Acetylene gas in the inlet manifold, with petrol- diethyl ether blends as an ignition source.

Grammar Checker for Hindi and Other Indian Languages[Full-Text ] Anjani Kumar Ray, Vijay Kumar Kaul Grammar checking is one of the most widely used techniques within natural language processing (NLP) applications. Grammar checkers check the grammatical structure of sentences based on morphological and syntactic processing. These two steps are important parts of any natural language processing systems. Morphological processing is the step where both lexical words (parts-of-speech) and non-word tokens (punctuation marks, made-up words, acronyms, etc.) are analyzed into their components.

Spatio-Temporal Analysis of Vehicle, Road Facilities and Distribution of Traffic Movement in the Hill City Shillong[Full-Text ] Dr. Gitumoni RajbongshiShillong, the capital city of Meghalaya has undergone substantial change both in structure and character. Over the years, there has been a gradual increase in the population of Shillong from about 223366 in 1991 to over 267662 in 2001 and further to 354759 in 2011 (Census Reports 1991, 2001 and 2011). Number of vehicles registered per year has also shown an increasing trend. The road density of Shillong is also very low compared to other cities of the country, which thereby leading to the problem of traffic congestion.
