Covid-19: Climate Change and Food Security in Southwest Nigeria[Full-Text ] Ogallah Samson Samuel, Wandiga Shem, Olago Daniel, Oriaso Silas, Alemu AddisuThis study assessed the impacts of climate change on agricultural productivity in Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria. The study sourced primary data from a total of 411 households who are mainly farmers and it also used different methods and approach-es including Standardized Anomaly Index (SAI), Coefficient of variation (CV), Adaptation Decision Matrix (ADM), Multi Crite-ria Analysis (MCA) Social Analysis System (SAS2) among others. The secondary data was obtained from credible publications and institutions including the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet). The primary data obtained was triangulated with the secondary data and the information on Covid-19 to arrive at the findings of this study which covered a period of 31 years from 1985 to 2015.

It is congenital illness owing to brain deterioration during gestation period or after delivery. It is main genesis of spasticity and physical impairment in children that will intervene with conventional movement, gait and utterance. According to biochemical evaluation, in Armed Force Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, 102 children were acknowledged to cerebral palsy out of which 46% were male and 56% were female.

Evaluation of Mechanical Properties of Unsaturated Polyester Resin Composite Tiles of Granite Quarry Dust Filler[Full-Text ] Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Odoala, Isaac Ogbennanya Igwe, Samuel Nonso, Okonkwo, Ifeoma Perpetua OragwuThe effects of granite quarry dust content and particle size on the mechanical properties of unsaturated polyester resin composite tiles produced by a simple casting process was evaluated. The quarry dust content employed was within 0 to 80 wt. % while the particle sizes of the quarry dust used in the formulations were 53, and 150 µm respectively. The mechanical properties of the composite tile samples were characterized by standard methods. Result showed a general decrease in tensile strength of the composite tile samples with granite quarry dust content. The composite tile sample formulated with quarry dust of 53 µm particle size exhibited the highest tensile strength of 46.73 MPa at 20 wt. % quarry dust content.

Symptoms typically include rectal bleeding and anemia which are sometimes associated with weight loss and changes in bowel habits. The most common mutation in colon cancer is inactivation of APC. Adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) also known as deleted in polyposis 2.5 (DP2.5) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the APC gene. APC is classified as a tumor suppressor gene. Tumor suppressor genes prevent the uncontrolled growth of cells that may result in cancerous tumors. The protein made by the APC gene plays a critical role in several cellular processes that determine whether a cell may develop into a tumor.

Fatigue Analysis of Fixed Jacket Platform using FEM[Full-Text ] Tahseen A. Abd Alhusein, Jaffar A. KadimThis research deals with subject of fatigue analysis for steel jacket platform due to the effect of waves loads using power spectra statistical analysis. Two dimensions analysis was carried with the base of structure represented as ficed and elastic support in which finite element method FEM was used via SAP2000 V20 software to estimate the joint stresses. The fatigue age of the joint was found by S-N curves and fracture mechanism. However, the most shopping is performed through personal visit on shops where the customer waits on the queue for long time. The time taken on billing really suffocates the customer due to the existing billing techniques. In general, the billing of any purchase is performed by scanning the barcode attached to the product which claims higher time complexity and increases the queue size. The dried fruit peels were subjected to acid hydrolysis, and the total carbohydrate, specifically cellulose content was estimated before and after the pre-treatment. Pre-treatment effectively removes the lignin content which is supposed to be a barrier to the cellulolytic enzymes

Cyclic heterocyclic quaternary salts and related 5-Acetyl derivatives changed into their anhydro bases as cyclic mero cyanine dyes (3B, 4a-I) using sodium acetate. The reaction of (3B) with pyridine (quinolin)-4(1)-ium-Ethiodide salts afforded substituted N-Aryl [pyrazolinyl (pyridinyl)] pyrolo[5,4-d] pyrazol-zero-5[4(1)] methine cyanine dyes (6a-c).

In the present paper, recent trends in extreme temperature events for the pre-monsoon season have been studied using daily data on maximum and minimum temperatures over a well-distributed network.
