An Android Application Based Temperature and Humidity Monitoring and Controlling System for Child Incubators[ ]

Prematurely born infants are usually kept in a distinct form of chambers enclosed with controlled temperature and humidity which are referred to as “incubators”. These Advanced incubators are extensively used in developed countries because of its expensive priceing and as an alternate system, human monitoring of premature babies in incubators by nurse is being widely used, which is very much inclined to human blunders. The projected system exhibits a cheap, time saving and easily monitored android application based controlling system of temperature and humidity for incubitors. Although some proposed system are already available with the same goal, but this paper is different in the mean of android based usability where an android application is deployed to display the sensor output results in the users phone. In the field of babycare, this system will aid the doctors and nurses, to monitor atmost ten incubators, through the android application installed in their mobile phones, without even being present in the place where the incubators are being placed. This project can be deployed in needed hospitals and baby care units without including huge cost or manpower overhead.

Reverse Engineering of Micro Turbojet Centrifugal Compressor Design Based on Parametric CAD Data[ ]

Engineering is the profession involved in designing, manufacturing, constructing, and maintaining of products, systems, and structures. It can be divided into two branches, forward and reverse engineering. Forward engineering is the traditional approach in which a design process is performed from the requirements stage up to physical implementation of a product. In some situations, there may be a physical part without any technical details, such as drawings, bills of material, or without engineering data, such as thermal and electrical properties. The process of duplicating an existing component, subassembly, or product, without the aid of drawings, documentation, or computer model is known as reverse engineering [1], [2]. Reverse engineering is also described as the process of obtaining a geometric computer-aided design (CAD) model from 3-D points acquired by scanning and digitizing of existing parts.

Evaluation of Using Nano Materials in Subgrade Stabilisation Using Finite Element Modeling[ ]

Nanomaterials (NM) have a wide usage in civil works (soil stabilisation) nowadays. This paper presents a finite element (FE) modeling to evaluate the behavior of stabilised and non-stabilised pavement sections subjected to various values of expected traffic loads (static loading). The materials properties used in (FE) modeling extracted from a previous experimental study carried out on clay specimens stabilised by hydrated lime and Nano slag (NS) with different percentages. The stabiliser used in this study was the combination of hydrated lime (7%) and NS (3%) by dry weight of clay. Pavement responses (total stress and vertical surface displacement) were determined with an incremental loading (300-700) Kpa. The results indicated that increasing the traffic loads, leads to an increase in the total stresses (TS) and vertical displacements (VD). These responses were decreased after stabilised subgrade layer with various thicknesses of stabilisation (20-50) cm. The results also showed that slightly improvement in pavement performance was recorded by exceeding the subgrade stabilised thickness of 30 cm.

Physico-chemical Changes in Palmyra Palm (Borassus flabellifer) sap at different temperature[ ]

Freshly tapped palm sap is nutritionally rich but contamination during tapping process degrades these components. Changes in physico-chemical characteristics of freshly tapped palm sap were studied at various temperatures. The pH reduce from 7 to 4, which correlates well with the changes in the colour of the palm sap from clear liquid to brownish. Protein content and Vitamin C content dropped by more than half at the end of 25 min, but no changes in lipid content was observed. Sugar hydrolyzed at and above 110oC and sucrose hydrolysed above 80oC at pH 7. Highly reactive monosaccharide formed during disaccharide hydrolysis at elevated temperature was not detectable due to the fragmentation of monosaccharide in the early Milliard reaction. Yeast population reduced by 100 folds and lactic acid bacteria reduced by 20 folds in first 5 minutes of exposure at 60oC of moist heat. Present study gives valuable information for the intervention of the palm sap from fermentation.

Alex introduced Business Model canvas (BMC). Considering that, a lot of business have earned from the easy steps provided to ‘describe, design, challenge, invent and pivot’ their business models. What was documented back then, the business plan or strategy can be sketched on a one-page plan instead of writing a whole lot of pages. Since early 2008, many varieties of business models have been introduced. In this paper, three varieties are used: The Sketch strategy by Jeron Kraaijenbrink, the classical Business model canvas by Osterwalder and the lean canvas by Ash Maurya. The strategy sketch is the most used sketch and it has the widest scope, followed by the business model canvas and then the lean canvas. In this paper, highlights of each model is discussed, the differences between them and also when to consider using a particular canvas.

In this paper, the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Framework (ANFIS) are utilized to foresee the shear quality of Reinforced Concrete (RC) shafts, and the models are contrasted and American Concrete Institute (ACI) and Iranian Concrete Institute (ICI) observational codes. The ANN display, with Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), utilizing a Back-Propagation (BP) algorithm, is utilized to foresee the shear quality of RC pillars. Six vital parameters are chosen as info parameters counting: concrete compressive quality, longitudinal reinforcement volume, shear traverse to-profundity proportion, transverse support, compelling profundity of the bar and bar width. The ANFIS demonstrate is additionally connected to a database and results are contrasted and the ANN show and exact codes. The primary request Sugeno fuzzy is utilized in light of the fact that the resulting some portion of the Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) is direct and the parameters can be assessed by a basic minimum squares blunder technique. Correlation between the models and the observational equations demonstrates that the ANN display with the MLP/BP algorithm gives better expectation to shear quality. In addition, ANN and ANFIS models are more precise than ICI and ACI exact codes in expectation of RC bars shear quality. These study were verified by using powerful finite element program and gave suitable agreement with NNA approaches.

Correlation Between Body Mass Index and Blood Glucose Levels Among Female Students of King Faisal University[ ]

The simple term “blood glucose” is surprisingly complex. Minor raises in blood glucose considerably increase the risk of diabetes mellitus development. Obesity and overweight is a recognized risk factor for developing type 2 diabetes. One unresolved question is, if there is a relation between body mass index (BMI) and blood glucose level (BGL) in female students of King Faisal University (KFU). This study examined the correlation between BMI and BGL amongst 125 randomly selected, consenting KFU female students who are apparently healthy. There is no significant correlation between BMI and BGL in subjects. College of medicine student subjects had significantly lower BGL compared with college of sciences and others. Number of sugar spoons in subjects' hot drink with body mass index is approaching significance with p = 0.09. High blood glucose levels in young females don't results from high BMI. Instead, they are associated with high sugar consumption. Awareness should be increase among the university students in order to reduce the prevalence of hyperglycemia and consequent pre-diabetes.

Polycythemia vera, management approaches[ ]

Polycythemia vera (PV) is currently identified as one of the three classic, Bcr/Abl- adverse, myeloproliferative disorders (MPD), together with important thrombocythemia (ET) and also myelofibrosis with myeloid metaplasia (MMM). It is now well-established that PV stands for a clonal stem-cell process that is identified by trilineage myeloproliferation, splenomegaly, thrombohemorrhagic difficulties, aquagenic pruritus, and a propensity for clonal advancement into either acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or MMM . Typical age at diagnosis is approximately 60 years and also typical life expectancy with contemporary therapy methods 20 years . The latter represents a significant renovation over historic controls, where premature death from thrombotic difficulties reduced survival to a median of less than 2 years . Present agreement debts the restorative use of hostile phlebotomy as being largely responsible for this remarkable change in survival. Nevertheless, the antithrombotic value of phlebotomy has actually not been appropriately assessed in a controlled setting, whereas randomized clinical tests have actually shown substantial reduction in vascular occasions when phlebotomy was supplemented with either myelosuppressive therapy or low-dose aspirin. In conlcusion , Physicians have for many years relied upon dimension of the RCM for the diagnosis of PV. Quantitative reference varieties are utilized to define normality, as a needed examination for the diagnosis of PV. To date, no systematic evidence sustains such technique as well as novel diagnostic assays, which are based upon disease biology, are being created and also their clinical energy verified.

Overview of management procedure of acute pericarditis[ ]

Acute pericarditis presents challenging features because there are similarities be- tween other conditions and complications that must be recognized and treated, at times, with urgency. Acute pericarditis is a typical disorder in numerous clinical settings, and may be the very first symptom of an underlying systemic disease .Epidemiologic research studies are lacking, and the specific incidence and occurrence are unidentified. Acute pericarditis is recorded in about 0.1% of hospitalized patients and 5% of patients admitted to the Emergency situation Department for non-acute myocardial infarction chest pain. An autoptic prevalence from 1 to 6% has been reported, and thus acute pericarditis might be regularly subclinical. A clinical triage is feasible on a clinical basis. Patients with pericarditis can be safely managed on an outpatient basis without a thorough diagnostic evaluation unless the patient has high risk features such as temperature N38 °C, a subacute onset, immunodepression, a history of recent trauma, oral anticoagulant therapy, myopericarditis, a large pericardial effusion, and cardiac tamponade. The reported diagnostic yield of extensive laboratory evaluation and pericardiocentesis is low in the absence of cardiac tamponade or suspected purulent, tuberculous, and neoplastic pericarditis. Invasive procedures should be limited mainly to patients in whom therapeutic intervention is necessary. Comprehensive and systematic application of brand-new techniques for pericardial fluid and tissue analyses might be helpful to establish an etiology-based treatment. Pericardioscopy might boost pericardial sampling efficiency, facilitate direct instillation of treatments into the pericardial space. At present these examinations are not commonly offered or practiced, and their application seems recommended for high danger cases refractory to a full trial of standard medical therapy in well-experienced tertiary recommendation centres.

Overview of different aspects of the impact of Helicobacter pylori[ ]

In this article, we aim to elucidate various beneficial aspects of this infection and as well highlight virulence impact. Comprehensive searching strategy through Well-known medical databases (MIDLINE/ PubMed, and Embase) searching articles that published in English language up to December 2017, and discussing the impact of Helicobacter pylori. The clinical outcome of H. pylori infection is identified by host genetic predisposition, bacterial strain factors, and environmental factors. Bacterial virulence elements (VacA, CagA) could modulate the immune reaction associated with the initiation of the carcinogenesis in the stomach. Host genetic aspects including IL-1β, IL-10, and TNF-α influence the inflammatory reaction and the exasperation of mucosal damage. Environmental factors, including salt consumption and smoking tobacco, are well-known dangerous aetiological factors. The ingestion of vegetables and fruit has some protective effect. The systems of H. pylori-associated gastric carcinogenesis are still poorly defined; further acknowledgment might give opportunities to develop efficient strategies for gastric cancer avoidance and treatment. Indications for H. pylori therapy have been extended and now consist of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, iron deficiency anemia, and vitamin B12 deficiency. New information are presented on the role of H. pylori in neurodegenerative disorders and in metabolic disorder. H. pylori is associated with a small increase in the risk for colorectal adenoma and colon cancer.

Screening and symptoms of herpes infection in primary care[ ]

In this review we discuss the transmission ways and diagnostic features of HSV infections, providing the clinician with an up-to-date understanding of the available management strategies for mucocutaneous HSV-induced disease. We performed comprehensive search including; reviews, RCT, systematic reviews, and case reports using electronic databases such; CENTRAL, MEDLINE and Embase. We restricted our search to only English articles discussing the Screening and symptoms of herpes infection in primary care that published up to November, 2017. Mucocutaneous infections triggered by HSVs are common in the basic population. Although not a significant issue in the majority of healthy people, regular outbreaks are frequently related to inconvenience, cosmetic issues, and mental distress. Such infections might also lead to significant morbidity or death in those unable to mount sufficient immune response. Although current scientific advances have dramatically improved our understanding of the HSV pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment, a cure is not available. Current management techniques encompass prevention, palliation, and antiviral treatment based on clinical seriousness and the general health of the patient. As with all herpesviruses, infection persists for the life of the host.

This article will review the various modalities available for OA diagnosis and clinical features. A computerized search was performed using following databases (Embase, Medline, Web-of-Cochrane, CINAHL) on December, 2017. Searching evidence concerning with Clinical diagnosis of osteoarthritis, we consider only English language articles, with human subjects on our review. OA is a clinical diagnosis. It might be detected without recourse to laboratory or radiographic investigations in the presence of typical symptoms and signs in the at-risk age group. Usage-related pain, short-term morning/inactivity stiffness, and locomotor limitation are one of the most typical symptoms of OA. In patients with typical presentation at the target sites, clinical evaluation alone is sufficient to allow a medical diagnosis of OA. Patients with OA need to be assessed in a holistic manner, which should consist of a targeted examination for the associated comorbidities.

Overview of management options for ocular adnexal lymphoma[ ]

This review will encompass the incidence, histology, immunophenotyping, clinical featues, diagnosis methods. Finally, traditional (surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy) and newer forms of therapy (immunotherapy and radioimmunotherapy) will be reviewed. Electronic comprehensive search was performed through medical databases; PubMed/ MIDLINE, Embase, and science-direct, for relevant articles discussing the ocular adnexal lymphoma management approaches, as well as studies showing the, search was to identified studies that were published through past period to December,2017The incidence of OAL, specifically ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma, has risen worldwide over the last couple of decades. Advances in our understanding of the immunophenotypic and genetic changes in lymphoma cell lines have caused a better understanding of the pathogenesis of the illness. The function of C. psittaci in the pathogenesis in the pathogenesis of ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma and the use of anti-biotics as a therapy alternative still need to be clarified by further collaborative international studies. Staging and histologic subtyping are essential in the design of optimum therapeutic program and determination of prognosis, as about 15% of situations of OAL existing with disseminated illness. A new TNM-based staging system has been created that will permit more accurate assessment of the risk of systemic disease and lymphoma-related death. New modalities of treatment including immunotherapy with anti-CD20 antibody and radioimmunotherapy offer distribution of improved cure rate and the delivery of curative treatment at much lower doses of radiation.
