Determination of Soil Electrical Conductivity using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for Precision Agriculture[Full-Text ] Awak, E. A,George, A. M,Urang, J. G1and Udoh, J. TNon-destructive and high resolution geophysical method ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey was carried out in Ekenkpon, Odukpani, Awi, and Nsan communities of Odukpani and Akamkpa Local Government Areas of Cross River State, Southern part of Nigeria. This survey was carried to determine the electrical conductivity of the soil. MALA professional Explorer control unit (optical module) with antennae of frequency 200MHz instrument was used for the research. Distance based mode was employed for the acquisition of the data at the interval of 1m. Rad-Explorer 1.4 software was used to analyze the data to obtain the velocity of the waves in the ground and dielectric permittivity of the soil.Due to shallow depth of most crop roots, an average depth of 2.075 m was selected for the determination of the velocity of the wave in the soil. The mean value of electrical conductivity at Ekenkpon, Odukpani, Awi and Nzan respectively were 0.61895 mS/m, 0.65205 mS/m, 0.56945 mS/m and 0.56945 mS/m. The study revealed that the areas are composed of mainly loamy and sandy soil. Hence, for the purpose of precision agriculture, GPR has proven to be one of the most effective methods for the characterization of the subsurface.

Design, Fabrication and Testing of Low Cost Magneto- Rheological (MR) Fluid Brake Testing Machine[Full-Text ] Magneto rheological fluids, is a class of smart materials which undergoes a change in its apparent viscosity in presence of an applied magnetic field. It consists of micron sized polarizable particles dispersed in a low viscosity carrier fluid. Various researchers in past had tried to build set up to test performance characteristic of MR fluid(mainly brake torque & viscosity). The present work discusses an alternative low cost design of an MR Fluid brake testing machine which uses digital spring balance to calculate the brake torque. A completely new approach is used to create the magnetic field inside the cavity of brakes. Iron cores are used to concentrate the magnetic field lines so that brake torque can be increased. Finally, different samples of MR fluids are prepared in the laboratory and brake torque is calculated by filling them in brake apparatus.

Study of Face Aging Effect Simulation Using Sparse Representation[Full-Text ] Sonal P. Ajmire, Karuna G. Bagde, Prabhakar L. RamtekeAging as the name suggests is the process of becoming older. In the world of photography, the face aging simulation has received rising investigations nowadays, whereas it still remains a challenge to generate convincing and natural age-progressed face images. Here, we present a novel approach to such an issue using sparse representation. In contrast to the majority of tasks in the literature that integrally handle the facial texture, the proposed aging approach separately models the person specific facial properties that tend to be stable in a relatively long period and the age-specific clues that gradually change over time. It then transforms the age component to a target age group via sparse reconstruction, yielding aging effects, which is finally combined with the identity component to achieve the aged face. Thus, the simulator gives the face of the person with aging effects.

A Novel Modified Play-Fair Image Steganography by Using 9 by 4 Matrixes[Full-Text ] Sandeep.y, K.A.Naveen Kumar, G.Reddy GangadriFrom recent years the rapid growth in usage of internet increases where it plays asubstantial role in sharing the information i.e., audio, video, data. Sometimesthis information is observant by the unwanted persons and it is stolen over the internet before it is transmitted. So the message has to be secured over the travel between the users. Miserably it is not enough to preserves the content of the ambiguous information but also the entity of the information. In this paper we approach a technique called steganography where the modern data compression, spread spectrum and cryptography all get together to satisfy the privacy requirement. In this paper the information is hided in a cover media and encrypted using Play-Fair algorithm by using 9X4 matrix. The information has to be encrypted under the cover image which is known to be stego-image. Now the image is compressed and sends to the user. At the receiver end the stego-image is decompressed and the information is decrypted from the image. The information is transferred more securely over the stego-image and the need of privacy is satisfied by using Play-Fair algorithm.

Tweet data Preprocessing and Segmentation to NER[Full-Text ] Mr.Sanket Patil, Prof. Varsha Wangikar, Prof. K. JayamaliniSocial media offers a powerful outlet for people’s thoughts and feelings. Now-a-days social networking sites are at the boom, so large amount of data is generated. Millions of people share their views daily on micro blogging sites, since it contains short and simple expressions. In this project, we will discuss about a paradigm to extract the data from a famous micro blogging service, Twitter, where users post their opinions for everything and NER will be applied on the same to classify different name entities. Here, we will discuss an approach that automatically classifies the sentiments of Tweets taken from Twitter dataset. Tweets are classified as positive, negative or neutral with respect to a query term. Tweet data taken from the twitter data source will be pre-processed by dividing the tweets into valid segments, to remove the word which does not have a specific meaning to be provided to understand that word. This helps to preserve the semantic meaning of tweets, which subsequently benefits many downstream applications. Named-entity recognition (NER) is a subtask of information extraction that seeks to locate and classify named entities in text into pre-defined categories such as the names of persons, organizations, locations, expressions of times, quantities, monetary values, percentages, etc. We show that high accuracy in named entity recognition is achieved by applying the method Stanford NER. Together, this is very useful for the companies who want to know the feedback about their product brands or the customers who want to search the opinion from others about product along with the extraction of geographical location from tweets.

Thermoelectric air conditioning system using solar cells[Full-Text ] M. G. Mousa, A.A.Hegazi and I. A. HanyThis Study is investigated the possibility of heating and cooling air by connecting thermoelectric Elements to a PV panel. The idea is to reverse the direction of heat flow in Room wall. In hot season the cold side for thermoelectric element will be inside the room and the hot side will be outside the room and vise versa in winter, hot side will be inside the room and cold side will be outside the room, using switch as shown in fig. 1 .A relatively new method to reverse heat transmission through wall is to use thermoelectric (TE) devices when two dissimilar materials form a junction. If a voltage is applied, heat will flow from one end of the junction to the other, resulting in one side becoming colder (inside the room) and the other side warmer (outside the room) this will be for summer season, but in winter season warmer (inside the room) and the other side colder (outside the room) . Connecting to Solar Panel energy will help in system integration, so that we don’t have to use any other electricity source. Moreover if charging system has been applied, cooling and heating will be possible in the absence of sun. Also extra power can be used for other purposes.
