The response mode of some pre- specified parameters of gas turbine plant was studied and analysed using the scientific tool of simulation by varying the controlled variables, namely, flow rates, compressor inlet temperature and turbine inlet temperature. The results were achieved by following some steps which includes; determining the relationship that exist between components in the form of mathematical models, the equations from the mathematical models were solved on a visual C# environment.

Application of Entropy Model to Geophysical and Satellite Data for Groundwater Vulnerability in a Typical Basement Complex[Full-Text ]

Groundwater Vulnerability of Ogbese Area Southwestern Nigeria, have been evaluated using the integration of Geophysical and Satellite Data. Five (5) parameters were considered in achieving this aim; namely Topsoil Resistivity (TSR), Hydraulic Conductivity (HC), Longitudinal Conductance (LC), Topographic Slope (TS) and Drainage Density (DD). Multi-criteria decision analysis technique was employed to assign weight to each of the parameters using the concept of Entropy model. In order to evaluate the groundwater vulnerability of Ogbese, twenty eight (28) Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) points were occupied.

The most promising advantages of the geopolymer concrete are: lower harmful emissions, converting a variety of waste streams into useful by-products, higher resistance to corrosion and fire, higher compressive and tensile strengths and improved durability properties. This paper presents the experimental investigation done on performance of geopolymer concrete subjected to severe environmental conditions. Five geopolymer concrete mixes and one conventional OPC concrete mix were investigated.

Calocybe indica is a common mushroom species in Nigeria. Oral reports in Nigeria suggest that this mushroom species has some therapeutic applications. This study was therefore designed to evaluate the phytochemical composition of this mushroom species with the intent of determining its possible medicinal uses. Pure culture of this mushroom species obtained from the wild was isolated and cultivated on a cassava based substrate to produce the fruiting body. The produced fruiting body was evaluated for its phytochemical content.

Evaluation of dimensions of a vehicle using Velodyne and Blickfeld LiDAR[Full-Text ]

LiDAR acts as an eye of the autonomous vehicles and help them to drive smoothly without collisions. In this research paper, we focus on the calculation of dimensions of a car using two LiDAR sensors. Velodyne Puck and Blickfeld Cube 1 sensors were used to capture the dataset of a car in two different situations which were then evaluated using Python. Further, we compare the results of both the sensors and the 3D bounding box. Thus, we conclude that when the car is coming directly towards the sensor, Blickfeld LiDAR was more accurate whereas Velodyne LiDAR produced accurate results when the car is going in a direction parallel to the sensor.
