Sol-Gel Derived Mn-doped TiO2-PVA nanobiocomposite for Urea Biosensor[Full-Text ]
M.A.Taiwade, A.B.Bodade, G.N.Chaudhari1% Mn-doped TiO2 material has been synthesized by sol-gel citrate method. Nanostructured 1% Mn-doped TiO2 (Nano-tio2)–poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) film has been fabricated on gold substrate to immobilized Urease (Urs) via physiosorption method for urea biosensor. The nanobiocompo-site film have been characterized by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Cyclic Voltametry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).The fabricated urease immobilized on the material shows excellent performance of biosensor exhibits direct electron transfer between redox enzyme and the surface electrode, good stability and sensitivity which indicated porous1% Mn doped TiO2 material is attractive material for use in fabrication of biosensor, particularly enzymatic sensor.

Green Materials for Removal of Dyes Present in Wastewater[Full-Text ]
Sunita Pal, and P. L. MeenaAmong the oldest methods for treatment of wastewater is the use of biological matter or biomass as adsorbent/flocculants. This communication presents the results pertaining to the investigation conducted on color removal of two types of acidic dyes; congo red (azo) and direct fast scarlet (direct) from aqueous wastewater samples using a biomaterial, the mucilage of Plantago psyllium (Psy), which is a food grade polysaccharide. This polysaccharide was modified by grafting it with polyacrylamide in order to promote its interaction with dyes. The copolymer (Psy-g-PAM) thus obtained showed better flocculation capacity than that of its precursor by reducing the flocculent dose and treatment time to half but there was not any significant change as far as the percent dye removal is concerned. Statistical analysis showed that the change in percent removal with pH was highly significant with both the acidic dyes.

Thermal behavior of Polymer dispersed Liquid Crystals[Full-Text ]
Rita A. Gharde, Jyoti R. Amare, Madhavi S. Pradhan, Manisha G. Bhave, Santosh A. Mani, Sangeeta Y. Thakare, Jessy P. JPolymer – dispersed liquid crystals (PDLCs) have combined application of polymers and liquid crystals. They are the focus of extensive research in the display industry. PDLCs are composite materials in which liquid crystalline material is dispersed within a polymer matrix to form micron-sized droplets. These tiny droplets (a few microns across for practical applications) are responsible for the unique behavior of the material. By changing the orientation of the liquid crystal molecules with an electric field, it is possible to vary the intensity of transmitted light.

Comparative Study of Different Surfactant For Extraction of Alkaloids from Solanum xanthocarpum Leaves.[Full-Text ]
Sindhu Tayade, Anita Goswami-GiriThousands of different alkaloids have been discovered from throughout the plant kingdom .Solanum xanthocarpum is one of them .It contains alkaloids like solasodine ,solanine ,salamargine and solanine which were extracted by using surfactants like SDS and EDTA with sonocation. EDTA is sufacting agent was more useful than SDS.Highest yield of alkaloids obtained at 2.5 hrs when 0.3%(m/v) EDTA surfactant used at room temperature.

Study of Micronutrients content in soil samples of Konkan Region, Ratnagiri District, Maharashtra State[Full-Text ]
Mrs. Swapna S. Mamidwar, Dr. S. E. BhandarkarIndia is gifted with heterogeneous landforms and variety of climatic conditions like high altitude forests, peninsular plateaus, the lofty mountains, the raverine deltas, variety of geological formations endowed with temperature varying from equatorial hot to arctic cold , and rainfall from per humid with world’s maximum rainfall (1120 cm)of several hundred cms to extreme aridity with a few cms (<10cm) . These varying environmental situations in the country have resulted in a greater variety of soils. Therefore, the systematic appraisal of agro-ecological regions has tremendous scope in grouping relatively homogenous regions in terms of soil, climate and physiography and conductive moisture availability periods (length of growing season) in planning appropriate land use.

STUDY OF FORMAL TRIANGULAR MATRIX RINGS[Full-Text ]
MRS Sunita SalunkeThere has been a continuous study on formal triangular matrix rings. In this present study of formal triangular matrix rings few ring theoretic characteristic properties of formal triangular matrix rings have been studied in detail. Some definitive results are verified on these rings concerning properties such as being respectively left Kasch, right mininjective, clean, potent or a ring of stable rank n. The concepts of a strong left Kasch ring and a strong right mininjective ring are introduced and it is determined when the triangular matrix rings are respectively strong left Kasch or strong right mininjective

FLOW SHOP SCHEDULING PROBLEMS – A SURVEY[Full-Text ]
Sayali D. Choudhari, Dr. Ritu KhannaThis paper emphasized on various machine scheduling techniques by using flow shop scheduling problems. In this paper single machine scheduling and n-jobs m- machines scheduling problem specially the case of two machines arranged in series with transporting agent between these two machines is explained with the help of the example by considering the setup time, processing time, transporting time , returning time. Heuristic approach is used for finding the optimal solution. Johnson’s rule of sequencing is used for finding the new sequence of schedule so that the total production time is minimized.

Significance and consequence of statistical Methods in science and Engineering Research[Full-Text ]
Mrs. Seema V Lathkar ,Dr. Mahindersingh Poonia, Dr. U B JangamStatistics is an essential device to deal with the information available in existing age as it can deduce the entire evidence in in beautiful manner such that inferences become easy from that. The objective of this paper is to apply quantitative technics in the research field of science and engineering. An engineer or scientist is the one who applies his knowledge to solve the problems in the society, by effectively using the scientific relevance and practical approach. They need to define an approach and construct the problem and method of solving it,to meet the needs of society. So the engineers and scientists must know how to plan effective experimentation, collecting the data, inferring about the information and its analysis and correlate with the proposed model or project to be studied.

The Probability Distribution of the Sum of Several Dice approach to a Normal Distribution[Full-Text ]
Reshma R. ChavanThe normal distributions are a very important class of statistical distributions. All normal distributions are symmetric and have bell-shaped density curves with a single peak. The probability distribution of the sum of several dice approach to a normal distribution as the number of dice is increased. In this paper the probability distribution of the sum of dice (for k >2) is derived using the method of moment generating function.
