••• INFLUENCE OF CLIMATIC VARIABLES ON INFLOW IN SEMI-ARID REGION OF NIGERIA
This study is focused on evaluating the correlation and significance of average monthly
temperature and total monthly rainfall in estimating monthly inflow in Dadin-kowa reservoir
located in Gombe State, Nigeria. Daily records of temperature, rainfall and inflow 1991 to 2001
were used to separately develop multiple linear regression (MLR) equations for each of the rainy
months ranging from May to September. Multiple coefficients of determination were evaluated
for the MLR equations for each of these months.
